Primera LX2000 Pigment Ink Cartridges

Optimedia Labs carries genuine Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridges from Primera Technology. The Primera LX2000 and LX1000 label printer use four individual Primera LX2000 ink cartridges for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink. The ink itself is pigment-based, resulting in extremely durable inks that don’t smudge or smear and resist abrasions, fading, water, oil, and chemicals.

In addition to four single Primera LX2000 ink cartridges, we also have multipacks with all four colors as well as replacement Primera LX2000 printheads. For best results with the Primera LX2000, use genuine replacement Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridges with our Primera LX2000 labels.

Each Primera LX2000 Pigment Ink Cartridge Saves Ink!

Since the inks are contained in individual cartridges, the Primera LX2000 doesn’t waste color inks. Instead, you’ll replace each Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridge when that particular color runs low. For example, when printers that use tricolor ink cartridges run low on a given color, such as yellow, the entire ink cartridge must be replaced, even if there’s plenty of the other colored ink left. With the Primera LX2000, if the printer runs out of yellow ink, you’d only replace the yellow Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridge. There’s no need to throw out excess ink with this set up, thereby saving you money on Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridges.

We recommending ordering an additional set of Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridges to keep on hand and then re-ordering each individual color each time you replace a Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridge. Doing so will ensure minimal downtime.

Primera Print Head Replacement

The print head for the Primera LX2000 will need to be replaced periodically as well as each individual Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridge. The print head comes with a set of “starter” inks. The starter inks contain just enough ink to prime the print head upon installation. You will need to use standard Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridges (sold separately) with the new print head.

The printer has a built-in monitoring system to monitor the remaining life of the print head. We highly recommend keeping a spare print head on hand so that you can quickly replace the print head once it reaches the end of its life. If you’d rather wait, we suggest ordering the replacement print head when the print head monitor shows 10 to 20 percent life remaining, depending on your print volume and comfort levels. By proactively managing each color Primera LX2000 pigment ink cartridge and print head life, you’ll avoid the stress of last-minute orders and expedited shipping costs.
